HI. I know I wasn't able to write yesterday but let me tell you it was such a busy day. SUPER DUPER BUSY. But it is Friday Night and there is no way I can go another day without posting something and writing something. So here I am.
Today I will be reviewing a book that I have recently re-read. I will probably make this a little series where I review books that I've read either in the past or recently. It's kind of like me recommending books to you but I don't want to call it that. I'll also try not to spoil the book but I might accidentally do that...
The Book:
Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
Stars Review Out of 5:
âââââ
This book was beautiful. The details of first love and real love were perfect. I feel like the only reason that it can actually be considered a real love story is because of the ending. In real life there are sometimes not a happy ending when it comes to first loves. This book had an intriguing way of showing the hurtfulness and the pain that comes with losing your first love. Not only that but it shows the pureness of falling in love and craving that person. But obviously having personal set backs that almost don't let you be with that person.
Eleanor is also such an interesting character. She has her flaws but for some reason I vision her as this messy artsy girl who is clearly just trying to survive not only school but what goes on inside her house. Throughout the novel I could almost feel her pain, that's how good Rainbow Rowell is at writing.
Parker is probably now my dream boy. I don't know why but there is something about him that almost makes me fall in love with him. But at the same time he also has his flaws and stuff that he did to Eleanor that makes me iffy about him. But we all know he cared deeply about her. Even though at first he sort of made fun of her. But I mean c'mon every single bus scene was so fricking cute. I never knew that school buses could hold the power of creating the most romantically perfect love story or the beginning of one.
I think this book is such a must read. LIKE MUSTTT READDDDD. By far my favorite book. I have read it about 7 times now and each time I read it I feel like I am experiences it differently each time because of how good it is. And because I always know how it ends so when I read certain phrases I'm like Oh no. No why did he say that. SO GO READ IT RIGHT NOW!!!! Trust me when I say that it will warm your heart... and then break it.. but in a good way. Kinda.
Okie I'm gonna go to sleep because my eyes are getting droopy and I still need to take my makeup off (insert crying emoji).
Bye Bye
Happy Friday
XoXo, Maria E.V
