What I've Been Listening To Lately ♪‎๋࣭ ⭑💽♩⭒

Mwaaahh. Hello. Today is December19th but you are reading this on December 20th! Tomorrow is my last final day! I have my mocktrial for english and a regular final for math. To be honest I'm kind of excited. But I am mostly excited to LEAVE for Mexico tomorrow night. I am dying to see my family and eat everything I can find. These past two weeks have been really hectic for me but I really wanted to write. So, I decided that today I would be giving you guys a list of songs that I have been listening to lately. Music is literally my life. Literally. And I think a lot of people can agree. Music can takes us all into different dimensions that we want. Enjoy the list!

  1. If You Lie Down With Me by Lana Del Rey. My lord and savior...Lana Del Rey. We are blessed that she is on this earth. When I listen to this song I can just picture myself in a flat grassy area with baby's breath covering it, in the middle of nowhere playing the piano while singing. The chorus though, makes me feel like I am dancing without a care in the world. BUT not only dancing but dancing on top of my piano like a crazy, insane women.

  2. TV by Billie Eilish. Three days ago I was laying in bed listening to music when all of a sudden this song came up and I could feel the tears coming. I don't know what it is about the lyrics that make me think a lot about myself and what goes on in my mind. I had such a weird connection with this song. But ever since that, I have been listening to it five billion times a day..especially since I love the way it ends with a crowd of people repeating the same lyrics, it almost shows the way we all relate to Billie in different ways.

  3. Coconut Tree by Shakira. First off all can we appreciate Shakira's old music for a second? She had such good music back then (obviously now too) but something about her old music is so curing. Maybe it's her voice, or the music, or the lyrics, or everything. Once you listen to it you automatically will fall in love. It is addicting. I am serious!

  4. Chemtrails Over the Country Club by Lana Del Rey. Once again...Lana Del Rey. I think the reason I love Lana's music is because it makes me feel so ethereal. When I listen to her music all of a sudden I am in a pool full of roses, singing. I am on top of buildings twirling around. I am free.

  5. Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer. I LOVE THIS SONG. Now I know most of the songs that I have been listening to lately have been slowish but this one is more of a let's be happy and fall in love kind of song. I watched She's All That a couple weekends ago and the ending scene had this song and I immediately added it to my playlist!

  6. All-American Bitch by Olivia Rodrigo and Get Him Back! It's all about the scream. I love the scream in All-American Bitch. I know it sounds kind of childish but that makes it even better. I remember a super duper long time ago I was doing karaoke and I put this song on cause I was home alone and I KNEW I would be doing the scream. I just hope my neighbors weren't so worried. It is the female rage in both of these songs that send shivers down my spine...

Ok I need to end this list now or else I'll write my whole playlist on here. You guys should definitely listen to some of these because they're all so good! But at the same time I am the kind of person that listens to certain songs because the lyrics relate to how my life is at the moment...so maybe you guys won't but maybe you guys will. Anyways, I will also try to write more during break because I know I will be doing nothing except be lazy! I love you all so much.

Bye Bye

XoXo, Maria E.V<3
